About Us

Nari Chetana Samaj Nepal (NCS), also known as SWAN (Society for Women Awareness Nepal) is a Major and first Nepalese organization led by Community Members. Dedicated to FSWs' well-being, it addresses HIV/STIs, sexual and reproductive health, Gender-Based Violence, and economic empowerment. Advocating for sex workers' health, rights, and the decriminalization (निर-अपराधिकरण) of sex work, NCS/SWAN educates and raises awareness, dispelling myths, while collaborating with policymakers to integrate FSWs' needs. Through policy advocacy and education, NCS/SWAN ensures FSWs' voices are heard in decision-making. NCS/SWAN's innovative approach has transformed lives, enhancing dignity, health, and rights for sex workers and those vulnerable to exploitation in Nepal.
